What a Move Includes

Every move is handled start to finish by our own Charleston crew. Whether it is a full relocation across the Lowcountry or a short room-to-room move, the job follows the same careful steps:

• Disassembly: rails, pockets and cloth are taken off and the frame is broken down in the right order.
• Padding and transport: every part is wrapped and padded, then loaded and secured for the drive.
• Slate handling: slate sections are protected and moved separately so they are not cracked or chipped.
• Reassembly and setup: the frame, slate and rails go back together in the new room.
• Leveling: the playing surface is leveled before we leave, so the table rolls true.
• Re-felting if needed: if the old cloth is worn or cannot be saved, we can fit new felt while the table is apart.

Yes. Slate tables are most of what we move. We take the table apart, protect each slate section for transport, then reassemble the table and level it in its new room.
